Social Media Channels in Which Brands Have The Greatest Impact 
In today´s world, there are a lot of social media channels that you can use for your brand. Some of the platforms have been around for more than 15 years, and some others that were created and popularized just a few years ago. As a brand, you may want to reach out to the biggest audience possible, and that may mean being present in all of the social media channels.   1. TikTok: With about 1 billion monthly active users with over 130 million active users in the U.S., TikTok is one of the most influential social media channels. The target audience for this channel is between 16 and 24. TikTok is a short-form, video-sharing app that allows users to create and share up to 3-minute videos which can be edited in the platform. Users can use sound samples from different videos, which can be used by brands to their advantage. TikTok is considered to be a creative channel in which users can express themselves, not only through mere video but through editing as well. Brands can show their personality through this app, sharing their company´s history, or real-life examples of how to use a product.
  1. Instagram: Users on Instagram are more transactional than TikTok users. This means that people are inclined to purchase products through this app. In fact, they are 70% more likely to make mobile purchases on Instagram or based on a creator´s post. 55% of fashion shoppers do this, according to NetBase Quid. Through this channel, people research products, and services. It is important for brands to take advantage of Instagram´s eCommerce options, since 130 million users tap on shopping posts every month (NetBase Quide, 2021). Shoppable posts are an option that allows brand accounts to tag products within a post.
  1. Reddit: This is a rather new and little explored platform, at least for brands. Essentially, Reddit is a collection of forums where people can share news and content or comment on other people’s posts. This platform can be helpful for brands that want to reach males aged 30 or less. More than half of Reddit users respect when brands make an effort to be on Reddit, so you can start building strong relationships on this channel. However, it is important to note that users prefer not seeing promotional content on this site, but rather have conversations around specific content on different forums.
  A brand may also choose a host of different social media platforms, but remember to have curated content for each network and keep track of what is trending and how content consumption changes throughout time.
