Taste of Pinecrest Raises $30,000 for Pinecrest Public Schools

PINECREST, Fla.  – March 21, 2011 On Sunday, March 6, the Pinecrest Business Association and Panter, Panter, & Sampedro, P.A. hosted the Ninth Annual Taste of Pinecrest at Pinecrest Gardens. Over 6,000 people attended the event, which raised approximately $30,000 for the five public schools in Pinecrest bringing the total raised from the event since 2003 to an impressive $250,000. This year’s event included 15 Pinecrest-area restaurants—including EVOS, The Butcher Shop, Cold Stone Creamery, Sergio’s, Crepe Maker, Roasters’ n Toasters, and Clarabelle’s Cupcakes—each offering attendees a taste of signature items from their menus. The event also featured booths from more than 25 local businesses; performances by local school groups; rides for kids; a children’s activity area sponsored by the Miami Dolphins Special Teams and Arts for Learning; as well as a raffle for prizes ranging from jewelry to vacation packages.
